How do I add money to my Tap account?
You have a couple of convenient options to top up your Tap account balance:
- Debit/Credit Card Top-Up
- Open the Tap app and tap "Add Money" from the home menu
- Select "Debit card Card Top-Up"
- Press "Add a new card"
- Provide your debit or credit card details
- Confirm the transaction to fund your account
- Bank Transfer
- From the app home, tap "Add Money"
- Select "Bank Transfer"
- Choose the fiat currency you wish to add
- You'll see your Tap account details (account number, IBAN, etc.)
- Log into your bank account and initiate a transfer using those details
- The funds will credit to your Tap account once the transfer clears
Whichever method you choose, you'll be able to view your updated Tap account balance immediately after a successful card top-up or pending the bank transfer.
A few tips:
- Card top-ups are instantaneous but may have limits
- Bank transfers are unlimited but can take longer depending of your bank and the network they use
- Always double-check the account details before transferring
